We promote art and design culture through the publication of handcrafted books.
Studio Forward was founded in Palermo in 2004, based on the belief that the interaction between design disciplines is the foundation of an effective creative concept.
Starting in December 2022, the studio embarked on a journey to promote culture through the creation of Forward Edizioni, an independent publishing house that will curate, edit and design books in which the form-function dichotomy can translate ideas and concepts of high cultural and artistic value, with the aim of re-evaluating the central importance of the book as an object in the digital age.

Bestiario illustrato dei vitigni d’Italia (Illustrated Bestiary of Italian Grape Varieties) began as a research experiment in university classrooms, but found its form in publishing as a poetic dialogue between words and images.
THE PALERMITANER

The Palermitaner is a project that invites illustrators to convey their idea of Palermo by creating different covers for an imaginary magazine. This book brings together fifty of these covers within a plural and shared visual framework, putting their visions on paper for the first time.

LORO, a book-container rich in different levels of interpretation, houses Luca Marianaccio’s photographic work, which explores the phenomenon of UFOs and UAPs in Italy in an imaginative and poetic way.

SERENO

SERENO is a journey through the clouds and through time, a visual and poetic tale about the figure of weather colonel Edmondo Bernacca. Working side by side with the author, Studio Forward was able to approach the volume while maintaining the intimate and familiar character of the narrative, yet addressing a wide audience.
